About Andrew DuLaney Shaw

Being successful is exhilarating and when you feel inspired about what you are doing, you are at your best. Andy comes from a technical background, with qualifications in IT, Psychology and Philosophy. His inquisitive nature has taken him from Lloyds of London to Foster's Australia, via Arizona where he worked in pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education.
Contributing to numerous critically strategic projects, Andy's awareness of when people are divided by the same language has been crucial to fostering an environment of success and achievement. Being exposed to many colourful personalities on his journey, Andy learnt that effective solutions are best delivered by the right people acting in the right roles.
When pressure points in critical projects became the controlling factor in colleagues' behaviours, Andy instinctively knew how the environment needed to change to bring the teams focus back on track. Creating opportunities for people to discover the answer themselves delivered dividends for the team and the organisation. For Andy, this was often his most rewarding work.
Applying animal metaphor to people provided Andy with an enlightening and fun approach to understanding the innate behaviours he had observed in his colleagues and himself. Imagining the workplace as a zoo, Andy drew on his past experience and the inspiration of Arthur Shelley, to share his approaches to solving problems with practical techniques that people can take away and apply themselves.
With a focus on collaborative techniques, Andy enables people to achieve their best and contribute to the vision that results in businesses emerging as future leaders.
Andy loves to try new challenging things, particularly when there's an element of fear involved. A keen hiker with vertigo, Andy's philosophy is always look up.
