About Laurel

Laurel started her career as an occupational therapist in mental health working with the way people behaved, thought, learnt, changed and understood. Moving through senior clinical roles and into wider health services management she managed significant change projects and developed relationships with major health providers, community health services and environmental health management. She then moved to Victoria Police to manage their Police in Schools program on a state-wide basis and subsequently to Victoria Police leadership development centre to be part of a cultural change within Victoria Police and to co-manage the Victorian Public Sector Continuous Improvement Network (VPS-CIN).

She is now an independent consultant focusing on cultural change, innovation and thinking and participates on several Boards of Governance. Laurel was accredited as an Organizational Zoo Ambassador in October 2011 after demonstrating her capabilities with the metaphor techniques by facilitating behavioural workshops in Hong Kong, Singapore and Melbourne.
